This is a recommended walking course that will take you around the city in about half a day.
North Course
Located north of Izumiotsu, this course passes through a large waterfront park and the historic Sukematsu Shrine, and then you can work up a sweat at bowling and other activities along the way, before relaxing in a hot spring.
West Course
A course to enjoy the scenery at a leisurely pace. After enjoying the scenery from Nagisa Park along the sea to Hama-kaido, where the old streetscape remains, you can relax and unwind from the day’s fatigue at Hamanoyu Onsen.
East Course
This is a course where you can feel history through experiences. You can try out the ancient Japanese drumming, visit Sone Shrine, the oldest in the city, and learn about the culture of the Yayoi period.
South Course
This is a course where you can have a variety of experiences. You can experience the traditional weaving and knitting culture of Izumiotsu. Since it is a course that is a little far, we recommend that you rent a bicycle at Izumiotsu Station!

This tour guide focuses on four shrines within the city, offering a way to gain a deep understanding of the history and culture of Izumiotsu.

Ikegami Sone Yayoi Learning Center
This is a facility where you can experience “Yayoi period craftsmanship.” Why not try making your own original earthenware or Magmata? (Reservation required)
Ikegami Sone Historic Park
It is a moated settlement from the middle of the Yayoi period, covering a vast area of approximately 600,000 square meters.

Oriamucan(Weaving Museum)
Texpia Osaka has three halls and eight conference rooms for events, meetings, exhibitions, etc. The mural at the entrance is very impressive!
The facility has a textile theme and allows visitors to experience the traditional industries, history, and culture of Izumiotsu City through weaving and knitting. You can even try your hand at weaving if you make a reservation.
